Caularthron bicornutum, known as the virgin orchid, produces handsome sprays of pure white flowers delicately speckled with purple at the centre. A vigorous, free-flowering Caribbean species with a light fragrance.
It enjoys bright light, intermediate conditions, medium humidity and watering spaced out, letting the mix dry in between. Standard-sized, it is grown potted and suits beginners. It blooms in spring.
