Masdevallia Dona Daisy De Alvarado crosses two stars of the genus, Masdevallia veitchiana and Masdevallia bennettii. From them it inherits a finely veined brick-orange flower with a broad rounded body, ending in three long tapering tails of the same shade. It blooms willingly and carries several spikes at a time above the foliage.
