Masdevallia venus ‘Radiante’ is a selected form of the species, brighter than the type: its broad, rounded flower is vivid yellow with red-brown rays fanning out from the centre, ending in three short yellow points. Like the species, it comes from the mountains of Ecuador and asks for an intermediate climate, around 15–22 °C by day and 9–14 °C at night.
